ACCELERATE: The Gospel to the Balkans

As the cradle of Western Civilization and the womb of the early Christian movement, there’s no denying the enormous impact of the churches, agencies, and leaders who call this region home. So, we invite you to join us as we accelerate the momentum of the united Church in the Balkan Region.

History

The first Movement Day gathering took place in May 2017 in Athens with a leader gathering.  In November 2019 there were 140 leaders from 14 nations that met in Athens.  We are seeing the maturation of a network of leaders in the great Balkan Cities who want to accelerate that impact.

THEMES & OUTCOMES

  • Biblical teaching on movements and the role of hospitality in movements
  • City teams gatherings from Athens, Skopje, Tirana, Sofia, Belgrade, Thessaloniki, and other regions
  • Sharing best practices in innovative evangelism, next generation engagement, work among refugees, church planting, prayer mobilization, and engaging the marketplace
  • Each city team will identify a “North Star” goal to work toward over the next ten years
