On Thursday, March 9, a standing room only group of leaders from Phoenix gathered at Grand Canyon University to plan Movement Day Arizona (MDAZ), September 15-16, 2017.
MDAZ executive director Billy Thrall led the gathering, a reflection of thirty years of relationships across the region, where he and Gary Kinnaman have built a very strategic network. There is enormous passion across the pastoral, non-profit, and marketplace communities to address the stubborn facts of Arizona.
Grand Canyon University is one of the fastest growing universities in the world and a perfect host for the September gathering. The hope is that 1,000 students will attend MDAZ. Central Christian Church, under the leadership of Cal Jernigan, will lead the Refugee track breakout session at MDAZ, while Tracey Beal and her team from School Connect Arizona will lead the Church School Partnerships track.
