Prayer and Spiritual Disciplines: The Cost of City Transformation
The book of Acts records the beginning of the greatest movement of all time. However, we must not miss that the Holy Spirit moved through the lives of leaders who sacrificially gave themselves to be Christ’s witnesses. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, committed to Jesus’ teachings and given to prayer, lives were transformed and cities were changed because of courageous leadership.
Today, Christian influence is diminishing in many of our cities as secular values seem to be winning the day. There is a desperate need for men and women of extra-ordinary spiritual influence, whom because of their zeal for Christ will sacrificially lead communities to a holistic expression of the gospel while giving leadership to transformational movements.
This track will address the sacrifice and discipline required by leaders to advance the kingdom in our cities and how they can work together to fulfill Christ’s commission.
